Hello everybody! My name is Jacopo, I have just discovered this site and I immediately signed in. My native language is Italian, so even if this is an English forum ask me everything you want about my tongue. For the momento I have a question for you: I have to send my CV and cover letter to an important financial institution, for a position as stagist. Can you help me checking it? Thank you! Smile [:)]

Dear Ms. ********,

I had the pleasure of speaking with a few of your colleagues at the information session held for the (NAME OF UNIVERSITY) last November 5th. Having been exposed to the culture at ********, I am excited at the opportunity to join such a dynamic and diverse team. I am applying for the internship as Staff Assistant you offered through the website of my University. The reason is that I am an outgoing, communicative person, and in my own experience I have been able to build solid relations with other people, so I am searching for a career that allows me to have a role in direct contact with clients; one that comes with much responsibility and demand for performance.

I am a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, and these years at University helped me becoming an independent and proactive person. My school results have always been excellent; I have an economic/quantitative background, and at University I improved my analytical, numerical and financial skills. During the last years I attended courses, took examinations and worked at the same time, without my results – both academic and working – being influenced.

I like collaborating and confronting with other people; I have the courage to promote my own views, the vision to inspire and the interpersonal skills of working in teams, influencing and listening. That is the reason why I choose ******* to apply for: I deeply admire the diverse collection of people at the firm, as well as the strong commitment to provide continual learning and international experience, and I see this internship as a great chance to apply my knowledge in a working environment, to gain exposure to highly developed programs and to gain valuable hands on experience.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any questions, you may contact me via phone or via e-mail. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jacopo G.

Having been exposed to the culture at ********, I am excited at the opportunity to join such a dynamic and diverse team. I am applying for the internship as Staff Assistant you offered [are offering] through the website of my University.

During the last years [be more specific - this does not say how long you have done this]I attended courses, took examinations and worked at the same time, without my results – both academic and working – being influenced.[affected]

I like collaborating and confronting [regarded as a negative term - "interacting" is better] with other people; I have the courage to promote my own views, the vision to inspire and the interpersonal skills of working in teams, influencing and listening. That is the reason why I choose ******* to apply for: I deeply admire the diverse collection [you can reduce this to one word: "diversity"]of people at the firm, as well as the strong commitment to provide continual learning and international experience, and I see this internship as a great chance to apply my knowledge in a working environment, to gain exposure to highly developed programs and to gain valuable hands on experience.
