A: I hope I'm not crashing the party.
B: Are you kidding?
I've head this conversation in a TV drama or something.
The speakers were hugging after these phrases. (A form of greeting???)
What does 'crash the party' mean?

To crash a party
is to attend without an invitation. Your conversation can be paraphrased this way:
A:
I hope I'm welcome at this party.
B:
Of course!

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
