Hi friends,
I would like someone explain to me this expression I have found reading the Steinbeck's "Travels with Charley":

'...was a fine-looking man of about thirty-five, broad-shouldered and lithe, with the CREAM-AND-BERRIES complexion of a girl...'

Thanks in advance, jo.

The man's face has a clear pale skin with warmly coloured cheeks.

Hi guys,

I've never hear this expression. It sounds similar to the relatively common 'peaches and cream', which is sometimes used when describing female complexions.

Best wishes, Clive
