Well the sentences above are not examples of similes and/or metaphors. Our english teacher asked us to create a metaphor and/or a simile for each of the following descriptions: 1. Umbrellas popping out during a sudden downpour. 2. A friend who bursts angrily into your room. 3. A green Volkswagen with pink and yellow daisies pasted on it. 4. An ambulance speeding through traffic with its siren wailing. 5. A skyscraper the top of which is lost in fog. 6. A thin old woman in a ragged dressed. I came up with a metaphor for the first one, and another metaphor for the 4th one, I'm working on the 2nd one. I would appreciate it if someone suggest some metaphors and/or similies for me.
