hi  Friends

I always found my those mates on strong positions who  they are on the position of managment but they have strong technical knowlede. I mean that if you have technical knowledge and you are on the the position like IT consulatancy or management this will increase your worth. This is very strong and plus point if someone is into the amnagement line and have strong technical knowldge.

Faisal,

I agree with you, but also agree with Praveen's point of view. When you choose management line it became difficult to maintain yourself updated with technical subjects.

In my case, I have generical knowledge about technological subjects and it's enough to discuss solutions with technicians. I used to read magazines and go to company's events or IT's fair to know a little about news.

If we try to know much about manegement and technical subjects we are going to be crazy and we are not going do anything else. All time available will be used to read and study.

In my opinion I'll never be better than a technology lovers, so I let this fro them.

Dear Friend   Ortelan

I am also along  praveen .Whatever i wrote it was just an emphasize on the priority of management and technical knowlege together . No doubt in this field being update   is very important and it is difficult to come along both of these together. As being a IT professional this is very imporant to keep updating with reading and studying  because there is not end of tehnology. It is enhancing  continuously.

Anyways outcome is that. I agree with you people.Anyways  Mr  Ortelan You are our senior Sir kindly give us some referrence of some  case study on IT consulancy or any project of which you have done the consulancy .It makes us  to know about more IT consultancy. Then  with your help we can view more professionally to IT .

Thanks

Faisal

Dear Friends,

No one knows everything. Who thinks like this is in the end of line. Every role is important in a play. I never could do my work without techinicians and i know that. So, I respect and regard this knowledge a lot. Faisal was happy with his coment "there is no end of technology".

Because of the difficult to be updated in technological field i choose a way. I have a lot of technicians friends and my effort is to create business opportunities where everybody can participate with each especialization. In this way everybody can earn.

Have a nice weekend, folks.

Hi guys,

Oh lalala!!!! Sorry for having being silent for so long...I was preparing my mid-semester exam and I'm back. I see there are changes. I'll need some time to get use to that.

Allright, let me take the line from where it is.

ORTELAN, in the view of your posts, one may be led to give up his technical capabilities, for managerial ones. I know it's all about money but technicians (you said you were a programmer then you switched to consultancy...)do also need the money..with all due respect, and though I'm not a practician yet, I feel like we are kind of underrating them, and it isn't fair at all that they get less money than the managers.

Ortelan  +  120622 Sat, 23 Jul 05 02:29 PM

Yeah, you are right. The world is not fair.

What you said doesn't happened only in our field. In every area technicians sells their time and not solutions, it is the problem. Here in Brazil a good technician earn about USD 15.00 per hour, independent for what his knowledge is using. The account manager has the vision of the client's necessity and can make the price based in how much value the solution.

When technicians noticed this and start to think in solutions they can sell their work based in how important it is for the business. Sometime your idea can save thousands for the companies, so you can ask for more money.

You see, it is a comercial vision not technical vision.

Have a good wekend fellows.
