Hi,
She hasn’t called the movers yet in hopes of her ex-husband changing his mind about marrying the woman and decides/deciding to come back to her.

Should I use 'decides' or 'deciding' here?

Thanks.

Hi,
She hasn’t called the movers yet in hopes of her ex-husband changing his mind about marrying the woman and decides/deciding to come back to her.

Should I use 'decides' or 'deciding' here? The latter. She has hopes about him 'changing' and 'deciding' .
Or you could say
She hasn’t called the movers yet in hopes that her ex-husband changes his mind about marrying the woman and decides to come back to her.
