Earlier, the United States pledged $500,000 to help China in its quake relief efforts and that money has been delivered by the U.S. Red Cross.

If I replace 'delivered' with 'sent', will the meaning change?

Thanks in advance!

It changes it as it would then sound as if the money originated with the US Red Cross and they were the donors.

The name says it all.

Good thing I asked. I thought they were synonymous. Thanks nona/ Nona!

By the way, should I capitalize nona? If the person write his/her name in lower case,
should I keep it that way or should names be always capitalized?
