Hi,

She died of a broken heart.
She died with a broken heart.

Are both of these sentences correct? I am not sure of #2 at all.

Both are correct.

Sentence 1 we have the cause of death.

Sentence 2 we have the state of her heart at the time of death.

How about "from a broken heart"? To this day, I still can't differentiate between die of and die from. Sad

Thanks, Optilang :)

I don't know how to interpret the numbers. Are yousaying they are close to each other or they are somewhat different especially when it comes to formal writing?

Sorry, but I have to go, got a plane in 9 hours and need to get some sleep.

My suggestion is to repeat the search I did and you will see many examples with context.

Hope it helps.

Take care. Cool
