I have problems with the blue parts. Could you please help me? Thank you.

Diesel fuel is prepared from (out of) fractions of petroleum and light gas oil. Important property of diesel fuel is a cetan number or diesel index, the measure for the ability of ignition of the diesel fuel. Paraffins have the biggest cetan number, paraffins have smaller, and then come naphtens, and finally aromatics.

"Paraffins have the biggest cetane number, paraffins have smaller," - this doesn't make sense. Is there a small i- or iso- before the second 'paraffins'?

Sorry, it is a mistake:

It should be:

Paraffins have the biggest cetane number, then come naphtenes and finally aromatics.

If anyone has any idea how to make this sentence sound better, please, let me know.

Thank you Alan.

Paraffins have the biggest cetane number, followed by naphtenes and finally aromatics with diminishing cetane content.
