Hi Teachers

can I say it like this: There was a great difference between A and B for more than 40 percent.

Is the use of the "for" appropriate with "difference", if it's not please correct it

Thanks

 Not quite. Try:

There was a great difference between A and B, of more than 40 percent.

A and B differ greatly, by more than 40 percent.

This means that the difference is larger than 40%
