In CS Lewis's The Problem of Pain, he described there could be different kind of fears (or should I use "different kinds of fear").

Imagine you are just next to a room in which there is 1.) a Tiger, 2.) a ghost, 3. )God or any supernatural almighty power. And now the door is going to be opened. I suppose we will be all in some sort of fear.

Which word would you try to use to describe that fear in the three different situations ?

Cheers

Personally, I think I'd feel:

1. (a Tiger) -- terrified or petrified.

2. (a ghost) -- scared, but anxious and thrilled at the same time!

3. (God or any supernatural almighty power) -- awed.

Use 'different kinds of fear'.
