Please help me explain the meaning of two words "execution" and "performance"

Some writing uses the both in one sentence. Ex:

Party A's execution and performance of this Agreement is within the

         scope of its business operations.

To "execute" a contract/agreement  = make it valid by signing or sealing

"Performance" = carry out the process agreed within the contract [ie, publish a book; paint a house]
