Do or bare infinitive

Hi,

What is the correct way to answer these types of questions? I thought the second ones are what are often used. Can both be equally correct?

How often do you walk to the store?
I always do.
I often walk to the store.

Do you like apple?
Yes, I do.
Yes, I like apple.
