The first one is the result of our personal consciousness, of the free expression of ourselves and of our choices. The second one is the result of our lack of personal counsciousness, of free expression of ourselves and of our choices. I guess it's more complicated than that. But I think that when we are not aware of ourselves, of our willingness and choices, we are kind of swept away by the events. It doesn't metter if they are nice or bad, they sweep us away.
