Hi!

Is does used correctly here? I keep thinking it should be do...

Thanks

The law and politics also suit them, as does public service, social administration, public relations and advertising.

Wow, good question. I don't know, now I'm confused too...

Considering that natives say "Here is my car and my bike" and ""Here are my car and my bike", maybe "as does + list of things" is ok...
You'd better wait for a native. Smile [:)]

I'd use do, as this is a listing:

BBC - Tyne Have Your Say - Capital of Culture

Buildings are very nice, and Newcastle has many of them, as do London, Birmigham. Is this oldest buliding wins, or perhaps the ones with glass surronding ...

The law and politics also suit (plural verb)

as do (plural verb)  public service, social administration, public relations and advertising.

So, you're saying "do"?

Well, you guys seem to like examples... then I thought of founding one with "does":

Lobbying records show his firm collected $1.5 million in fees last year from 42 clients, most of them beach communities up and down both coasts. Avalon, N.J., retains Marlowe, as does Fort Myers, Fla., and San Clemente, Calif. - USATODAY - by Ken Dilanian

Hausner did admit owning a small arsenal that included numerous rifles, shotguns, pellet guns, various knives and stabbing weapons, ice picks, awls, "stuff like that," but he said, "I'm a gun collector. I have lots of weapons — as does most Americans. - USATODAY

Dustin Penner is 245 pounds. Travis Moen has toughness, as does Brad May, Sean O'Donnell, etc. The list goes on and on because general manager Brian Burke believes in tough teams. - USATODAY - Kevin Allen, usatoday hokey reporter

The problem is... I saw some examples where like the second I gave... that should definitley have been "as do most Americans"... I really don't understand.

I have lots of weapons — as does most Americans

I don't like does here - I would use do.

EG: I have lost of weapons as do most people (I don't think does would be correct in this instance)
