"Don't get ahead of yourself"

Hi, I can only assume that it's meaning is kinda like, "Don't get too cocky" or, "don't celebrate too soon"

Thank you

It can mean what you say.

It can also be a caution to take care to perform all the necessary steps in some process, lest your results be flawed.  (Don't try to do step "D" before you've completed step "C.")

Be thorough!
