I would use the plural (if it's all present tense):

"Not only don't I receive compliments, I constantly get criticized."

Is "Not only do I not" better?

Thanks Vorpar.

Not only don't I receive a compliment, I constantly get criticized.

I would reword as: Not only do I not receive a compliment, but I am also constantly criticized.

Yoong Liat, could you tell me why you reworded it? You must have a reason. Could you share it with me?

Your sentence "Not only don't I receive a compliment, I constantly get criticized" is not correctly phrased.

I'm sure it didn't look good to you. Otherwise you would have rephrased it. :)

Let me be more specific with my question. What is the difference between get criticized and am critized?

Thanks.

What is the difference between get criticized and am criticized?

In your sentence 'am criticized' is appropriate.

You don't 'get criticized'. You are criticized.
