Hi,

Are these sentences or not?  Why?

Yes. They are in imperative form. In other words, they are orders or commands.

Commands are often very brief, like these. They are often followed by an exclamation mark, to add emphasis.

Be quite quiet!

Write!

Eat!

Walk!

Best wishes, Clive
