Dreampoem

in a corner of my bedroom
_____grew a tree
_____a happytree
_____my own tree
its leaves were soft
_____like flesh
and its birds sang poems for me
then
_____without warning
two men
_____with understanding smiles
and axes
_____made out forget excuses
came and chopped it down
either________________________yesterday
_____or the day before
I think it was the day before
