A. Could you please drop us at the corner?
B. Could you please drop us off at the corner?

1. Which of the above is correct?
2. If both are possible, which is more common?
3. Is there any difference in meaning between them?
4. Is 'at the corner' natural? Or it should be 'on the corner'?

Please help me. Thank you.

I use only B and I believe it is much more common. The first can be taken too literally, as if to say that you should deliberately let us fall to the ground, which would be painful!

I use at the corner, but I've heard others use on the corner. I definitely prefer at.

The driver would probably find it strange if he heard me say sentence A.

Thank you very much for letting me know of the difference. Emotion: smile

Possibly. But you never know. It depends on the driver! Emotion: big smile

I just hope the driver would not do that literally. Emotion: smile
