We started out being very happy at the beginning of the semester, but the days went by more and more........as the workload increased and the weather got colder.

A- impatiently
B- dully
C- drearily
D- interestingly
E- fearlessly

I couldn't understand what the answer should be. It must be "dully" or" drearily", but which one?Is there a difference between them?
