Hello Sir,

I am very much confused about the usage of each and every.

If I have been give a sentence to insert each or every.

A) -------pen is good.

1. Each pen is good.

2. Every pen is good.

Which one is correct? Are both options correct?

I want to know the specific usage of  "each" and "every". If you can provide some information about it, I would be very grateful to all of you.

Thanks.

Both are correct.  They are essentially interchangeable.  Use every unless you have a good reason for using eachEach points to the individual items of the set more distinctly than every:

Every guest had a cracker.
Each guest had his cracker held at the ready as the clock struck midnight.

Of course, if there are only two items, you should use eachEach shoe was soleless on the feet of the panhandler.
