Hello, everybody! What's the phrase meaning "easy, peasy japenesey" ? It,s from "Shawshank Redemption' , the episode. when Brooks makes Andy acquainted with a jail library.

It's a jokey rhyme to say when something is easily achieved, the sort of thing you say to a child. The first part, easy peasy is constant but the second part has several variations. The most common one I've heard is easy peasy lemony squeezy!

Thanks for the reply! By the way, don,t you think I wrote a silly thing -- " Brooks makes Andy acquainted with a jail library" ? Perhaps, " Brooks shows Andy a prison library" sounds better?
