Hi there,

When we describe the way we eat food, we use 'eat'. How about the ways animals eat?

How can I describe a chicken use its beak to eat food? any particular to describe it?

Can I say a sentence like this: A bird used his beak to pick up a worm and feed its children?

In English you can use "eat" for animals.

Our dog is not eating much lately.  I wonder if he's sick.

Chickens peck.  Birds peck.  But that's not eating.

The bird picked up a worm and fed it to its chicks.  (not children)
