Hello. I want to learm more vocabulary. I have this book "Elementary Dictionry" from LOGMAN. It's very wonderful book. I liked it.

My qusetion is how to pick up the words from that book. Alphapitical or by random way?

Normally you use a dictionary to look up a word, so it is a random use.

If you want to read it from A through to the end of Z, there is nothing stopping you. Many knowledgable people read dictionaries. You may well pick up some interesting words, but be sure you know if you are using them properly.

It's just my 2 cents:

If a dictionary were boring for you, you should stop reading it. I know that there are a lot of people who had tried to learn dictionary but failed, and most of them are bored to the dictionary, and the only thing that ketp them reading the dictionary was to success.

Well, I don't like to read dictionary at all, and I'll never try to. The thing that I am going to say is, find a way that you think is easy and comfortable, and it might the quickest way to learn english.

I've studied a number of foreign languages, and this practice has always been helpful to me. When I look up a "new" word, I pencil a check mark next to it (so I will know in the future that I have looked it up before and should probably learn it). I also look at the words immediately before and after, so I can often get "3 for the price of 1".
