Any grammer or content recomendations on the following question.

Define the basic elements of a literary work, whether fiction, poetry, drama, or nonfiction.

There are several elements used in composing a piece of literary work to include characters, theme, tone, setting, plot, conflict, and point of view.  The characters are the individuals that the writing is typically based upon in a story line.  The theme is the underlying meaning of the writing.  It is clearly stated and can be applied to the reader’s life.  The tone is the author’s attitude regarding the information presented.  While there are several types, humor is most easily recognized.  The setting is the time frame or place in which the work takes place.  The plot is the general background of the story line or literary work that presents the sequence of events in which the characters in possible conflict are involved.  Conflict exists in literary works between protagonists and opposing forces.  Internal conflict occurs when the author disagrees or struggles with him or herself.  Interpersonal conflict involves another character vice oneself.  The point of view can vary based on who is being referred to.  First person displays a character telling the story.  In second person, the reader is spoken to directly by the author.  Third person involves the author telling a story about the characters.
