I apologize for any inconvenience my absence from yesterday's meeting caused, and am sorry for the misunderstanding. None of the group members sent me a formal invitation by e-mail, however Daniel told me my presence was optional. Therefore, I assumed I did not need to attend.
In spite of this confusion, I assure you my project will be delivered on time and will meet the client's expectations for quality.
I have been working for BAT for more than a year and consider most of you to be my very close colleagues. If my performance has not been up to your expectations, please do not hesitate to inform me. Thanks to Daniel for his feedback. In the future I will take steps to learn from my own mistakes in this situation.
