A couple of men were walking toward the coed hot spring. Being naked in the spring, she was terrified. At first, she was embarrassed at the prospect of being seen naked by the strangers, but then she got up the nerve and ran over to where she'd left her yukata and quickly put it on.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.

Hi,

A couple of men were walking toward the coed hot spring. Being naked in the spring, she was terrified. At first, she was embarrassed at the prospect of being seen naked by the strangers, but then she got up the nerve and ran over to where she'd left her yukata and quickly put it on.

Are there any mistakes? No, but try to avoid repetition. I'd suggest this.

A couple of men were walking toward the coed hot spring. She was in there naked, so she was terrified. At first, she was embarrassed at the prospect of being seen like that by the strangers, but then she got up the nerve and ran over to where she'd left her yukata and quickly put it on.

Best wishes, Clive

Thanks, Clive. One quick question, Is at first mandatory? If yes, what role does it play?

Hi,
One quick question, Is at first mandatory? If yes, what role does it play? It's not mandatory. By using it, the writer stresse that there were two stages to what happened. In other words, 'at first' gives 'she was embarrassed' a bit of emphasized duration.
