Hi! i am currently teaching English to pharmacists and would really like some ideas about how to teach giving advice about orthopedics ( particulary expressions, vocab around the subject of medical supports and braces) and also advice about and understanding herbalism ( a French-English glossary would be very useful). Hope there's someone out there who could help!

Cheers

Hi Lino, I am not a qualified medical professional,  just a qualified English Teacher! Most of my lessons I have found on the internet and I am quite happy to share these resources with you!

My lesson on orthopedics was very practical in the end. I revised bones and muscles vocabulary and then asked my students to demonstrate with real braces and splints how they would  fit and advise these products. I dealt with the ankle, wrist, knee and lumbar area. They liked using real products and enjoyed the lesson! Next lesson I will be teaching phytotherapy ( herbal medecine) and will include lots of lexis and also describing symptoms and different illnesses.

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards

Pam
