"ABC is committed to promoting and impementing saftey in the coompany."

Is above sentance is correct grammatically or not. If not, why and what is the correct one?

I have doubt on the use of verb+ing followed by "to". Can anybody help, please?

Hi,

"ABC is committed to promoting and impementing saftey in the coompany."

Is above sentance is correct grammatically or not. If not, why and what is the correct one? It's OK.

I have doubt on the use of verb+ing followed by "to". You don't have  verb + 'ing' + 'to' in this sentence. In any case, that would not be wrong, depending on the context.

You need to review your spelling of some words. Smile [:)].

Best wishes, Clive

See Post:250109 for cases of -ing after to.

Thanks for the answer and also for the spell check.

I wanted to know, as far as it seems to me, this sentance should be as;

"ABC is committed to promote and implement safet in the company."

instead of,

"ABC is committed to promoting and implementing safety in the company."

Can you more elaborate your answer with the contast correct use of of preposition.

Regards

AAN

No. ABC is committed to the promotion and implementation of safety in the company.

instead of,

"ABC is committed to promoting and implementing safety in the company."

Can you more elaborate your answer with the contast correct use of of preposition.

The verb 'commit' is usually followed by the preposition 'to'. It means roughly 'pledged to'. The usual grammar is of the form someone is committed to something. The 'something' needs to be a noun, or a noun-equivalent like a gerund. eg

Tom is committed to the project.

Tom is committed to completing the project.

Your spelling is awful.  Use the -ing form.
