Hi,

1) International Legal English is really good as the concept focused on the preparation for a exam in Legal English. I am using it for some months.

2) The second book I would recommend was designed for the German market 'Introduction to Anglo-American Law & Language' by B. Sharon Byrd but it is a very good book and it is completely in English. The author is an American who works in Germany. The only drawback is that the words are translate into German but you can live with that after reading other books.

With this two books I feel good prepared for the exam next year. You need about 2000 specific words in order to understand the most.

And here is a link if you want to discuss something:

If you are interested in LLM or QLTT, look for the links and thank secretly Google.

Best wishes,

Kathrin

Is it me or is it the universe? It could be the universe but I am not sure thus I have been still wondering and drinking tea. However, the tea is getting cold.

In addition to the references given, you might also benefit from taking a look at http://www.toles.co.uk they have two books specifically written for the individuals who want to study for the Legal English exam.

Good luck!
