Hello everyone,
I'm new on this forum and I was wondering if someone here could help.
I'd like to apply for a London school of Economics summer course and they require appliants to provide an English proficiency certificate (such as IELTS or TOEFL) or alternatively, a recommendation letter from a teacher. My teacher ask me to write the letter which he'll sign later but i have got no clue how to write it.. I tried to look something on the net but apparently there are only letters from people introducing themselves.. How could i write it personating my teacher?
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

Start by changing 'I' to 'he' or 'Francesco'. Post your effort here and we will review it for you.

This is the result of my effort, hope you can help improving it:

To whom it may concern

I am writing to you in connection with your requested prerequisite of evidenced english proficiency skills and I would like to certify that my student Francesco Sileo, who is going to fill the application form to attend your summer courses, meets your language prerequisite.

Indeed he is part of the program "Studying Law at XXX" and he is attending my "xxx of law" class. This course is entirely taught in English, being based the lessons on English material and interaction with students through the "Socratic method".

In particular my student is showing great interest in the subject matter of the course actively participating during lectures and moreover he has already presented an entire topic by himself.

I would be very grateful if you would like to consider this valuable student.

Yours Faithfully,
Prof. X
That is basically OK, Francesco. I have added a bit:

He is currently enrolled in our "Studying Law at XXX" program and is attending my "xxx of law" class. This course is taught entirely in English; it is based on lessons taken from English materials and involves considerable interaction with students through the Socratic method, which demands active speaking and listening skills of our students.

Francesco has shown a particular interest in the subject matter of the course, actively participating during our classes, and he has already presented a topic himself in English. I have no doubt that his communicative ability in the language, in all four skills, is sufficient for him to take full advantage of your summer course.

I have no hesitation in recommending Francesco for admission to your program. Should you have any further questions, please contact me at [email address].

Yours faithfully,
