But on the other hand, I'm beginning to realize that "equanimous, steadfast, unrelated" is probably what you meant to convey.  "Unrelated" is just unfortunate, because it lacks the pizzazz of the other two words.  I guess you mean unmoved or uneffected by man's concerns.
