Could you please correct my essay about wealth? Does the text contain enough logical coherence? Are there any spelling or grammar mistakes? Are there any irrevelant things?

Wealth: what is it to me?

In 1968, the American president Richard Nixon said: "In the next 20 years we shall become much richer, but will we really be any richer as people - happier?" Indeed, greater wealth does not increase happiness or mental health.

When you ask somebody what wealth is in his opinion, most people will immediately associate this concept with money and power. That is how the contemporary world works, especially generation Y, which is preoccupied with this kind of status symbolism.

Everybody loves money. That should not be denied, but we must avoid money taking control over our lives. Life is something precious, and happy memories as well as a few moments of bad luck constitutes the wealth of life. If one is constantly in the seventh heaven, and only enjoys prosperity, than it is impossible to see what a treasure life is.

In contrast to other people, who want to become a successful entrepreneur, actor or artist because of popularity and the resulting wealth, I dream of earning money by working at my passion, which is translating. I am not stating it is not right to achieve success, quite adversary, success should be one of our goals in life, on condition that is does not entirely depends on money. Therefore the definition of ‘successful’ in Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, namely ‘earning a lot of money, very well known and respected’, does not match with my view .

However, wealthy people are not necessarily unhappy. As Benjamin Franklin says "Wealth is not his, that has it, but his that enjoys it". Wealth is not what one has, but what one does with it. A person who has thousands of pounds, but never touches them, does not deserve this money as much as one who uses this money to make rich experiences, or give it away to a good cause.

Moreover: health is wealth. There is no such better life without a good health. Health is the most important thing for a better life but still neglected. If we have health, we probably will be happy and if we have both health and happiness we have all the wealth we need.

Wealth cannot be translated into one word: wealth is happiness, it is health, passion, it consists of the rich experiences of life. Wealth, unlike money and possessions, cannot be quantified, but only felt.

It's a good essay! I have some suggestions for sentences that are a little awkward.

.When you ask somebody what, in their opinion, wealth is, most would immediately answer "money and power".

Life is more difficult if one is not healthy. Good health is the most important thing for a full and satisfying life but most people take it for granted.

Where did you find this quote. Everywhere I have looked this quote has been incorrect whether it be the 20 years, richer people, the year it was speeched. Until proofed, this is fake.
