Hi,
About the two planes which nearly bumped into each other over the Caribbean, one of them saved the situation by making ( an evasive maneuver= a slippery tactic) this week.

Can I say   " slippery tactic " ??!

No. If a plane makes an evasive maneuver, it means that it tries to avoid hitting another  plane.

On the other hand, if a person is evasive, it means he/she tires to avoid giving an honest answer. We often refer to such behaviour by people as 'slippery'.

Best wishes, Clive
