I try to make a sentence in the context below:
Someone bought some food in a store. after payment for the food, he aksed for an invoice. The store keeper said: "sorry, we have run out of our invoices. now I'd like to issue a receipt to you and later you can give it back to me in exchange for a formal invoice."
The sentence I try to make is intended to go like:
The buyer can exchange/barter the interim receipt for a formal invoice.
can someone help me with the italinianzed part i.e. "exchage/barter"?(are both correct? or only one correct. if so which one is the correct one.)
thanks
