Start by saying "eye sight" in the singular, not "sights."
You are becoming more near-sighted. I'm 42. It's happening to me too. My kid will thrust something in front of me and say "See Mommy" and after I move my head back about six inches, I can say "Yes, now I can see!"
Near-sigthedness has a fancy term: presbyopia. Presbys means "old people." I don't like to be thought of as "old" at my age, so I'm going to stick with "near-sighted"!
