I recommend you avoid the use of "u" for "you". "U" is a Dutch word and, although it's used in English telephone "txt-spk", it is very much frowned upon when you write normal English. In the extreme case, it makes you appear to be uneducated. That's not the impression you want to make if you are learning English.
