Would "family" be considered a plural or singular collective noun in the following sentence?

"Are your family all coming home for the holiday?"

Thanks

Is your family all coming home for the holiday?   I'm not sure if this works or not, but it would be the "is" not the "are."

Perhaps:

Is your family coming home for the holiday?

Are all you family members coming?

Is your whole/entire family coming?

Thanks

I came across referances which used " family are...".

I, however, perfer (as I was taught that way) to consider "family" as a singular entity.
