I remember each flash as time began to blur

Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me

And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve

Hi,

The above is from the lyrics of "New Divide."

Is it right to interpret the bold as "Like a inescapable fate, I was doomed to lose you, and your voice was all I heard and the only thing that I got and deservd?"

Thanks in advance.

Without true love, life is meaningless and worthless since our physical world is nothing but a dream. ~~Angliholic~~簡瑞達

They are just lyrics out of context which may or may not mean anything, but I see no 'I was doomed to lose you' in there.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
