My predictions
Germany , Poland
Sweden, England
Netherlands, Serbia (another upset of argentina, remember 2002, the favorites.... knocked out first round again, they just aren't that great)
Mexico, Portugal
Czech, Italy
Brazil, Croatia
France, Switz
Ukraine, Spain
Then, Semis - Czech bt Holland
Brazil bt Switzerland (the suprise package, like Turkey 02, Croatia 98 or Bulagaria 94)
Final Brazil bt Czech
I see england going out in the 1/4s, coz they get an injury to someone early and lose another through suspension or just get unlucky as usual. Czech are 2nd in the (unreliable) world standings and have lots to fight for coz they have an amazing squad, equal to Holland, England or Argentina and I reckon if they win their group they'll go to the final, if Italy does, then it will be them. I also think Brazil will come back from behind in the final and win 3-1. but lets just wait and c. There are always suprises and I just had to guess two (czech and Swiz) that I think are at their prime, so hopefully an entertaining cup and a new winner (ie Czech or Holland).

Group B Parguay, Sweden England is good but it'd not their time yet
Group C Argentina, Netherlannds Very close group hard to predict
Group D Portugal and Mexico Curently the best teams in group
Group E Italy, USA Czech Republic without NEDVED
Group F Croatia, Australia You all believe that Brasil is sure but They never play well in Europe They olayed 1-1 with Croatia last summer Croatia also beated Sweden two times and Australia want succses they have great team best coach in the world so they are going to suprise us
Group G Switzerland Republic Korea they are both very good teams Switzerland alredy shovedd they can deal with France and Korea was 4th on last world cup

Couldn't say anything. my favourite : Argentina.at least,They will be qualified for the semifinal...then hope that they will be present in the final match.Perhaps against with Brazil,or England,or Italia.

Brazil wins, just because.
England will be much hyped by their own media, but the only way they can win is if Rooney carries the team like Maradona once carried Argentina.
The Netherlands? Until they learn to play as a team... NO WAY.
Italy.. if they're as good at attacking as they are defending, then they will do well too.

Altough its true that in football anything can happen, lets face it, there are few clearly favorite teams, Brazil, of course, Argentina, England, maybe Netherland (holland), less clear teams: France? Italy? Germany? (even though is local, its level in the sport is far away from that of the first teams i mentioned). For the first teams listed, in any match between them anything could happen, yes you might say that brazil has superstars, but in that level of players and that intensity of play, if brazil commits a mistake, its going to cost them and cost them dearly: a goal, the same for argentina or england, becouse all of them have players of amazing skill, capable of scoring great goals if the defense is cached distracted, any of those teams could take the cup home, i even would say that the favorites reduce to two teams, Brazil and Argentina, as Brazilian coach said, "argentina is the side i fear most", i think hes right.

as mentioned italia will never win toach wood. i think its long over due for england thats right were going to write a new chapter in the football history book just wait your going to see some majic this time and if sven is smart enuff he will included Theo Walcott if so it be all over boys and girls just emagin theo, owen, rooney at the front lampard, beckam, gerrard in the middle ferdinand, terry and campbell standing firm at the back and James marsheling his trops from his posts at the back. your going to see something special in a few short months so keep an open mind and your eyes peeled.
