Hi,

1.  Students  (give/take) examination. They (give/take) an asnwer when the know it.

Are bold words correct? Of the first two, I'd choose 'take'. But more normal would be 'do' or 'have' . I'd 'give' an answer', but I'd more commonly say 'write it', if the exam is not oral.

2. We are -------------- a trip to Simla during the summer holidays. (no idea!) various options. eg 'taking' or 'going on'.

3. I heard the rumble of _______ in the distance. (thunder, cow, donkey)

4. ______ of the dog! (beware)

5. I saw a suspicious man __run/sneak/skulk etc._____ round that corner. He turned out to be thief. (no clue!)

6. The let him __lie___ (lie/lay/lye)  where he had fallen.

7. They __robbed____ her of all her jewels. They _stole_____all the money from him. (no clue!)

Best wishes, Clive
