I'd say the producers are. I don't know if directors are. I suppose it depends what  audience you're talking to. Some people probably have more general definitions than others.

Most of the people will say  directors and producers are called filmmakers but according to me directors are called filmmakers, because they are making the film from his script..producers are just investing the money but directors are making the film that's why directors are called filmmakers...
