Can I generalize and say "first time" always goes with past tense?

When was the first time you flew a plane?

When was the first time you drove a hummer/tank?

When was the first time you took a girl to the movies?

So, are my example sentences natural? I think it depends on who you're asking the question, am I right? You won't ask your little brother the first two questions right?
