Hi,

When I was young, I learned that "fish" meant one fish or many.  Now, the word "fishes" exists.  Can you please tell me how to use the word "fishes"?

Thanks.

Hi MVB

Welcome to the Forums.

The plural of 'fish' is 'fish'. If you want to emphasise the various types of fish, use 'fishes'.
