Hi everyone,

There are some sentences below and I marked some part in bold, which I don't figure out the exact meaning.
Would you take a look at them a moment and tell me some if you have?
Thanks a lot~~^^

No. 1:

Cross the state line into ‘big sky country’ and slowly make your way northwest through Montana, stopping in funky Bozeman  and lively Missoula  before visiting Flathead Lake. Wind up your trip in Idaho. Get your outdoor fix in Hells Canyon National Recreation Area before continuing to up-and-coming Boise .

No. 2:

From this region you can head south and ski the slopes at Telluride or Aspen. Both are true old gold towns, and have a bit more attitude than Vail. Be sure to devote at least a few hours to exploring Aspen’s glitzy shops and Telluride’s down-to-earth bars for a real local vibe in a historic Wild West setting.

As I understand it, it means to stop by to Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.

These are both current, and somewhat new, expressions.
1.  A 'fix' is a drug term, equalling 'dosage'.  He needed another fix before he went on stage.   [Extended, it means 'sufficient quantity', a sort of emotional 'high'.]
2.  'Attitude' is an expression of human mental position.  He has a really bad attitude about how things are being handled.  [Extended, it means that both places have a certain appeal,  a certain feeling, a certain atmosphere, a certain je ne sais quoi.]

A "fix" is a way to satisfy a craving or desire (originating from drug-takers, I've always assumed). So, this is suggesting that the readers have a need for some outdoor recreation every so often. It's not as strong a word here as its origin might suggest.

"Attitude" in this sense is quite hard to explain. Basically, it means it's more of a ballsy place: louder, brasher, more cool people, more cool stuff going on, etc.

thanks all for your consideration.
As I expected, spokend language seems not easy to understand.
Still we have common senses and kind friends like you, and can cheer up. ^^
