(1) For me/As for me, ethics is imporant.

(2) To me, ethics is important.

Which one is correct?

When you're the only person making this statement it is right to say '' ethics is important to me''.

When you are in a debate or if people have different opinions you can say '' as for me, ethics is important. This option can be used only if someone has the opposite opinion and you are not the first person to make this statement.

I would like to know if 'for me', 'as for me' and 'to me' mean the same thing here.

Thanks
