Simplyblessedwithlove,

You have the right to express your opinins and I respect that. However, when what you said is not factual and become offensive, Goodman has a few words to offer.

You said:
<<>>Boycottng the Beijing Olympics. Shame on Mainland China!!

I am not sure if you really understand the subject. Your name is simplyblessedwithlove, but can you tell the difference between hatred and love?
You sounded very much like one of those folks who’d like to have nothing better to do than holding up signs to protest just about anything that they don’t like regardless of what it is..
May I ask you how much you know about the Chinese culture? And what do you think Boycotting the Olympics will achieve? If you are so much against the Chinese or the Chinese government, I am very curious to know if you have ever shopped at Walmart, or worn anything made in
China? If so, wouldn't it be more satisfying if the Boycotting start at your household, knowing that you are not using any Chinese made products? In case you don't know, the Central Chinese Government has spent 4.2 billions RMB to build the QingHai Railway to help the Tibet region’s economy and improve the locals’ way of life. Don’t take my word for it. There are many links that tell the facts to those who have been criticizing the Chinese government which they still believe today’s Chinese government is a communist regime.

Imagine you are a farmer.

Would you be happy if somebody without asking and paying built a railway in your fild and dispatched troops to watch and panish you when you are not obedient?

Your imaginary farmer can find the work on railway. Or another work, because china have high grown economic . but imagine – if Tibet  find the idependent where can he find the work – in state  without industry , lack of fertile land and political instability – where can he find food for his family ?

Anarchy - order’s mother

The point is that nobady asked them if they want to be a part of China and to be industrialized. Besides the infrastructure was created not for Tibetans but to ease the settlement in the occupied territories.

First – a few of people try to opposite China , for most its be best choice in 1951 .
Second – infrastructure , medical and education bring the good for all men.
Third  - Tibet already have modern industrialized society today – and reduce he back to mediterran  put  god-know-how-many into dead  , and a much more – into poverty .
You want this ?

I don't uderstand your way of thinking. Are you saying  the only way of helping anoher poor country is to invide this country and impose its  rule on it?

It is naive to think that Chinese imvaded Tibet in order to take care of Tibetans and to raise the level of their lives. Chinese othorities wanted to take over Tibetan's land and its resources. Tibetans were and are only the obstacle to achieve these goals so these who don't want to submit to Chinese othorities are repressed.

I do not think so. They have tried everything attracting and confusing the word. They just took Olympics in China as their another chance.

Sometimes It is not so wise to form an oppinion based on severl videos accompanied by interpretations. I attach below two other videos to bring you another oppinion.

In fact, those black and white videos made from pictures taken when Dalai Lama ruled Tibet.
Dalai Lama was the master of the previous slavery system of Tibet.
He and his followers only occupied 5% population of Tibet but controlled 95% Tibet people who were all their slaves.
It was the Chinese troops who liberated Tibet people from miserable slave life, and since then the New China Governments have beening giving Tibet people a happier life.

Tibet people are part of the Chinese, we love each other. Please do not confuse Dalai Lama and his followers with Tibet people.

Tibet: The Truth (A Political History)

Another video made by a Chinese youth, please forgive the angry words, but it does tell you some facts and oppinions to think about:

Jhumjhum
Mixing sports and politics is not fair but they have no other way to attract attention of the world. Sad

Truths are hard to prove, rumors are easy to make.

If the Chinese did this thing to your country, then it would be wrong.

When you said the following, you were brainwashed by Dalai Lama that Tibet was not part of China. See my another post following this thread.
