 Hi, YoungCalifornian. My post wasn't addressed to you but to Chinese authorities suporters. As regards the lack of freedom of the press I agree with you.

>Well, the obvious follow-up question would be what exactly do you want the West to do? Start a war with China?

A War doesn't solve problems, it only creates new ones, but the West should  take a clear and firm stance  on the matter instead of pretending that everything is all right and doing business with China.

I find it humorous that citizens of countries with a state-controlled press are so critical of Western media coverage.

state-controlled press controlled bu goverment and work in private interests of goverment . "free" press controlled bu mediamagnat and worked in his own private interests. i can see a little difference - level of lies is equal

Anarchy - order’s mother

hi, it seems that there would be a political forum here, eh?  I can just tell you what the anti-Chinese films propagandize is simply not true. Tibet is part of China, like Jiangxi, Yunnan, Shanghai, Beijing and other provinces and cities of China. Tibetans live well --- even better than some of your *** liars. Live to lie and lie to live? Come to China and live in Tibet, then you can scrape more materials for making lies.

Two pennies worth from Goodman

Freedom of speech and human rights –two of the fundamental beliefs of the free world which we uphold dearly but was received as the curse words by communists countries for decades, are the display pieces for those have been attacking the Chinese government.  It was true. For over half a century, China had lived in the shadow of Meo who had brainwashed millions upon millions of youngsters by the little but powerful “red book”.  Meo’s cultural revolution had poisoned the minds of the entire generation. The communist propaganda machine and the Red Guards movement eventually destroyed the country’s meager at the time. Meo’s red book was like a disease, slowly spreading the virus into every family and each fiber of social fabric in the Chinese culture. turning sons and daughters against parents, students putting teachers on trails and friends against friends. No one trusted anyone and no one dared speak a word for fears of retribution,  not even to family members. Workers and farmers working in the party–controlled factories and fields were mostly uneducated villagers who were slowly re-educated by the party officers to accept the system where everyone received the same pay, same good ration and same treatment, that was only if he kept his thinking to himself. Meanwhile, the propaganda for the “Big Leap” movement had brought the party leader to his ultimate glory before his collapse. The Russian brand of government system had the old China poisoned for over 50 years. That’s was the China then. True, there were reports about vital organs being removed from executed prisoners for sales to the willing Westerners. It can be sold for as much as $100,000, each!.  When this much money is at stake,  I don’t think it makes a difference whether one is Chinese or American, or whether you believe in human rights. The reality is harsh and the bottom line is, people are willing to sell their conscience for a sum and would even kill for money, and those wealthily ill, they don’t care where the liver or kidney came from either. China is not the only country exporting organs.  It’s sad that humanity can deteriorate to this level and in no way I condone this kind of animalistic practice.  China has her problems as a developing country. But these problems are not unique only to China.  I think freedom of speech is slowly being taken away and replaced by a politically correct system in the West. Has anyone heard any reference of another person being “fat” or “gay” lately?? But it’s okay to glorify pornography.  You draw the picture!

Truths are hard to prove, rumors are easy to make.

Without judging the truth of the Tibet problem, do you think the Iraq war is right or not? If you think it is right, I have nothing to say. If not, why the west or your country are pretending that everything is all right with the USA and doing business with the USA? Judging by what you said here, I smell something of slavery to the west from your heart.

 Why can't I watch videos? I can see for example:
instead of a window with a video.

Sorry, I don't understand. Which conquest are you talking about?

I can only say that the majority of Poles is against the Iraq war. I don't like the USA foreign power politics. I'm against resolwing conflicts by force by any country.

As regards Polish - Americans connections it is a result of the past history and present political situation of Poland.
If you are interested in Polish history read God's playground: a history of Poland by Norman Davies

PS -> West=the developed countries
