In Nicaragua, a country in Central America, TSF (Telecome Sans Frontiers) has been supporting a women's humanitarian organization, called MUSA ... Finally, it has provided MUSA members with free, pre-paid cell phone calls.

HI,

Do free and pre-paid in the above contradict each other in meaning? Thanks.

Well, yes and no. Yes "free" and "pre-paid" sound contradictory, but by having the charges paid in advance, they are free to the women who need them.
